Feder is the chief of the cornea/external disease service at Northwestern University Medical School, graduated with honors from medical school at Northwestern in 1978 having participated in the honors program in medical education. His internship was completed at Mount Zion Hospital, University of California at San Francisco. His residency in Ophthalmology was at Barnes Hospital, Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri and his fellowship in cornea transplant surgery and external disease was at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Dr. Feder has written extensively for professional journals and been published in conea textbooks. He lectures on diseases related to the cornea and has served on committees and as a faculty member for the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Feder has performed refractive surgery since 1991. He can provide his patients with special care based on his experience as a cornea specialist.
